Join us for our free open day at Harborough Leisure Centre to celebrate the recent refurbishment of our two facilities in the Harborough District.
Discover our brand-new 115-station gym, stunning reception, fully renovated studios, upgraded café, modernised pool and changing areas, and state-of-the-art outdoor courts. Plus, meet our special guests Dame Rebecca Adlington and Maise Summers-Newton!

- 10:00: Ribbon cutting ceremony
- 10:00-18:00: Open gym sessions with a guest DJ
- 10:00-16:00: PT tasters and gym challenges

Special Guests:
Dame Rebecca Adlington OBE is an English former competitive swimmer who specialised in freestyle …events in international competition. She won two gold medals at the 2008 Summer Olympics in the 400-metre freestyle and 800-metre freestyle, breaking the 19-year-old world record of Janet Evans in the 800-metre final. Adlington was Britain’s first Olympic swimming champion since 1988, and the first British swimmer to win two Olympic gold medals since 1908. After winning her first World Championship gold over 800 metres in 2011, along with silver in the 400 metres at the same meet, she won bronze medals in both the women’s 400-metre and 800-metre freestyle events in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Adlington is one of the few people to have won Olympic Games, World Championships, European championships and Commonwealth Games gold medals.

Maisie is a young para-swimmer who is taking the sport by storm. While still a teenager, Maisie c…ompeted in her first Paralympic Games at Tokyo 2020 and came away with two gold medals – one in the 200m medley and the other in the 100m breaststroke. An astonishing achievement for one so young. Alongside her Paralympic triumphs, she’s also the 2019 World 200m medley Champion and the 2018 European 200m medley Champion. For her efforts, Maisie was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2022 New Year Honours for services to swimming.
