Everyone Active has chosen HFE (Health and Fitness Education) to upskill fitness team members across multiple sites to become qualified Personal Trainers.
In collaboration with CIMSPA, via the ReTrain to ReTain scheme, Everyone Active has selected leading health and fitness industry training provider HFE as its preferred training partner. This is in order to upskill 16 members of the existing fitness team to become fully qualified personal trainers.
Funded by Sport England, the CIMSPA ReTrain to ReTain scheme aims to support and fund up to 50,000 active leisure sector professionals with invaluable training and qualifications. These are designed to help them join the fitness industry, or for those already working in the sector, to complete additional continuing professional development (CPD) training. Everyone Active has now secured this funding from CIMSPA and the training process will start imminently.
HFE has a strong track record in the active leisure sector and Everyone Active specifically chose HFE to deliver this training because it provides a high-quality, flexible and industry-recognised qualification mapped to CIMSPA’s professional standards. HFE is fully invested in quality training and qualifications, which is why it’s also a CIMSPA Training Provider Partner.
HFE provides a wide range of Ofqual regulated and CIMSPA backed health and fitness industry qualifications. These include the level 3 personal trainer course, being completed by the Everyone Active team.
Rick Gardiner, Head of Operations at HFE said, “We relish the opportunity to support Everyone Active with its ongoing training and education requirements. We look forward to working with Everyone Active and supporting all colleagues throughout the forthcoming training activities. We’re confident that our rich and varied learning resources, coupled with our five-star support service, will provide the team with the required knowledge and skills to make a real impact.”
Upon completion of their training, the selected Everyone Active colleagues will be more knowledgeable and skilled in personal fitness training, nutrition, programme design and advanced training systems. This will allow them to improve the quality of service on offer to our customers. We’re confident these colleagues will be better placed to support our members working towards an array of fitness goals, either in-person at one of the nationwide centres, or online via our Everyone On Demand home workouts.
Ultimately, this partnership will help to ensure that Everyone Active can fulfil its current mission for all members and contacts to participate in at least 30-minutes of moderate physical activity, five-days a week.
Kim Bames, Everyone Active’s Group Quality and Training Manager said: “Everyone Active is thrilled to be working alongside HFE. Its expertise in delivering high-quality, flexible and industry-recognised qualifications is ideal for our ongoing commitment to continuous personal development for our colleagues. The 16 colleagues taking part in the level 3 personal trainer course are sure to benefit hugely from completing this CIMSPA-accredited qualification; both in terms of their future career prospects and in ensuring their role is as fulfilling as possible.”
