Charities

The following charities form SECT (Sports Events Charities Team) which was set up in 2005 in conjunction with the first Middlesbrough Tees Pride 10K Road Race.

These charities use the Run Middlesbrough programme to raise much needed funds for a range of worthy causes. They also play a significant role in putting the thousands of goody bags together for each event. So when you complete your race and  pick up your bag at containing your medal and T shirt please think of these wonderful people who give up their free time, (many of whom are volunteers) to help ensure you have a great day.

Each year the group select a lead charity and we are proud to announce that this year’s nominated lead charity is the South Tees Hospitals Charity!
