About this Centre
Watford Leisure Centre Central has all the facilities you’ll need to stay active and have fun at the same time. The gym features state-of-the-art equipment designed to suit all fitness needs, while the two pools play host to our award-winning swimming lessons, alongside many other activities to suit swimmers of all ages and abilities. You’ll also be able to enjoy a plethora of group fitness classes, designed to suit everyone, while the sports hall hosts table tennis, badminton and five-a-side football.
This centre has implemented a cashless system. This has significantly reduced queuing times and improved customer service.

Our state-of-the-art 80-plus station gym comes with a huge variety of equipment for gym-goers of all ages and abilities, and will suit you, no matter what your fitness goals may be. We’ve also got professional and enthusiastic Fitness Motivators to help out wherever you need it.
Group Fitness Studio
Our group fitness studio plays host to a variety of different classes. Whatever your fitness goals may be, you’re sure to find the right class for you, while the social nature of the sessions means you can meet new people too.
Swimming Pool
We offer a variety of swimming activities that are suitable for everyone, whether you want to swim for fitness, do some aqua aerobics, splash around with our inflatable toys, want to take part in our women’s only swim sessions or just want to enjoy yourself in the water.
Sauna & Steam Room
The sauna and steam room at Watford Leisure Centre - Central is the perfect place to unwind after an intense workout, or even just after a tough day at work. This fantastic facility is available for use by all members and follows the centre’s opening times on most days of the week. There are, however, some exceptions. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, it doesn’t open until 9am due to deep cleaning, while on Fridays between 16:30 and 19:00, we are operating a women-only policy in the sauna and steam room.

If you are not ready for a membership, or do not use our centre on a regular basis then a “pay as you go” access may be better for you.
