About this Centre
Raich Carter Sports Centre just outside Sunderland plays host to an array of different activities to help keep the local community happy and healthy. Firstly, there’s the 50-station gym that’s equipped with all the latest cardio and resistance equipment. Elsewhere in the centre, there’s a 25m swimming pool in which we host a variety of aquatic activities, while our sports centre offers a range of activities that include badminton, netball, basketball and five-a-side football. Furthermore, we also have a range of group fitness classes to choose from.

Our well-equipped 50 station gym is great for a full work out. Featuring the latest TechnoGym cardiovascular and resistance equipment, it also has a free weights area, as well as a stretch zone. Our staff are always on hand to help you get the most from your workout too.
Swimming Pool
Come and enjoy our six-lane, 25m swimming pool. You can indulge in a number of aquatic activities. These include sessions for those who just want some fun, family sessions and sessions for those who just want to relax.
Group Fitness Studio
Enjoy a diverse range of group fitness classes in our studio.
Sports Hall
Enjoy a range of activities in our sports hall including badminton and table tennis.
