Meadowside Clip ‘n Climb | Climbing Wall
Come and visit Burton’s premier clip ‘n climb centre at Meadowside Leisure Centre. Clip ‘n climb is an entertaining activity for the whole family to enjoy. It is the new way to enjoy indoor climbing, not only is it a fun activity for both kids and adults, but a great way to get exercise too!
To enjoy clip ‘n climb, you require no previous climbing experience and it’s the easiest and safest way to get into the sport. We provide all the necessary equipment, you just need to be ready for fun! Climbers must be at least 4 years old and weigh a minimum of 10kg.
Each session lasts 1 hour, which includes a safety demonstration and how to put your harness on. We will also show you how the auto belay system works and how it slowly lowers you back to the ground when you reach the top. It’s best to arrive 15 minutes prior to your session so that you’re ready to get started straight away!
Climbing Birthday Parties
If you want something a little bit different for your child’s party, then why not try clip ‘n climb? The kids will get active as well as having great fun across our fantastic walls, with their multitude of different routes and challenges set up by our climbing experts. Naturally, Mums and Dads can have a go too.
As part of a fun clip ‘n climb party package you will receive the following:
- 1 hour of climbing for up to 12 people (aged 4 years and over). Included in the time is a safety talk, harnessing and test climb.
- Half an hour food in designated area.
- 1 x Activity Leader with you at all times.
- Unlimited Fruit Squash for the duration of your party.
Parties are available Monday – Sunday. Please enquire at reception or below for available times.
*Fun Climb parties do not include exclusive use of the facility.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need previous climbing experience?
No experience is required at all. Our walls are perfect for beginners and more advanced climbers alike.
Are there any age or weight restrictions?
All climbers must be at least 4 years old and weigh at least 10kg. The maximum weight limit for climbers is 150kg.
What should I wear?
You should wear comfortable trainers and trousers. Please note that hoodies are not allowed and all long hair must be tied back.
