About this Centre
King George’s Playing Fields offers a fantastic array of activities for the whole family to enjoy. The playing fields boasts a splash pad with fountains that are perfect for children to enjoy on a hot summer’s day, while the adventure playground offers kids the chance to climb, slide and explore to their hearts content. But that’s not all! The centre also boasts a new café and reception area, a TAGactive facility, a soft play area, Changing Places accessible toilet facilities, a sensory room, changing facilities and a new golf club house with changing facilities.
This centre has implemented a cashless system. This has significantly reduced queuing times and improved customer service.

TAGactive
TAGactive is a game-based indoor obstacle course designed for everyone! Within the arena, there are a number of challenges, such as net climbs, cargo tunnels, and ball pools, all of which have a number of Tags within them which you must tap with a sensor on your wrist. The more difficult the Tag to reach, the more points you get!
Soft Play
There is a large, two-storey soft play area that’s suitable for children of all ages. It features large, separate areas for both toddlers and older children, meaning everyone can have fantastic fun in a safe environment. Both the toddler area and the older children area boast a huge range and number of toys and interactive games for them to enjoy. There are also shoe specific shoe storage areas so you can always find them again when your child has finished. It’s the perfect place to bring your children and their friends to enjoy themselves and, most importantly, burn off some of that energy!
Splash Pad
King George’s Splash Pad is a fantastic state-of-art facility for younger children to enjoy, including water jets, fountains, sidewinders, directional jets and cylinder spray. All this makes for a perfect day out during the summer months. All sessions are 25 minutes long and all children need to be accompanied by an adult. In line with guidance, the Splash Pad will only be open when the temperature is 15 degrees or higher.
Adventure Play Area
Our adventure playground has been designed with the over 8’s in mind and makes for a fun day out. This State-of-the-art facility has a huge range of challenging structures, with both high and lower levels areas to be explored. All sessions are 55 minutes long.
Sensory Room
Our sensory room is a safe therapeutic space for those who need it. The room has been designed to help people regulate, develop and engage their senses as they interact with and explore the environment. Sessions are split between SEN users or babies up to the age of 18 months.

Pay As You Go... Casual Use of Our Centre
If you are not ready for a membership, or do not use our centre on a regular basis then a “pay as you go” access may be better for you. Anyone can use our centre on a casual basis, all you need to do is register for an Everyone Active card. This will enable you to start booking classes & activities online or via the Everyone Active app.
